BEE MARKETPLACE

More than two dozen vendors set up tables and tents to sample, sell, and share their bee- and honey-related products and services. From honey-sweetened beverages to beeswax cosmetics, educational demos to monofloral honeys from the Tri-State Area, there was something for everyone! Participants included:

KIDS' EDUCATION & Crafts

All day kids participated in fun and educational activities, including face painting by NYC Facepaint, bee-hat making by City Growers, and an interactive booth by Arts In Parts about the honeybees' role in pollination. BeeGirl is joining us from Oregon this year, and will have lots of honey/bee education activities plus microscopes to view bees & pollen up close as well as a tie-dye station and an elaborate observation hive provided by BeeKind Farms.  In addition, there will be honey extraction demos, the Honey-Tasting Contest, and raffle to keep your 'lil critters busy as bees. Oh…did we mention there's a beach too!

HONEY-TASTING CONTEST

As always, we will be hosting a station where you can taste all of the honeys on the boardwalk and vote for your favorite!
