getting to Honey fest
By land or by sea, this year we encourage you to take public transportation to the Rockaway Boardwalk. Honey Fest 2017 is conveniently located a few blocks south of the new NYC Ferry stop. If you're taking the train, hop on the A and get off at Broad Channel, where you can transfer to the shuttle and get off at Beach 105th St.
The boardwalk buzzes with activity as folks swarm around the booths where New York City beekeepers sell their hive products. Find everything from local and raw honey, bee pollen, wax goods, beauty products, and much more!
annual honey-tasting contest
Every year we invite you, the discerning New Yorker, to vote for the best NYC honey vintage. Prizes will be awarded to the beekeeper with the crowd favorite!
We will be hosting a costume contest for children and adults. Come dressed as a queen bee, mad bee scientist, or in whatever bee-themed costume your heart desires. There will be prizes for both children and adult participants!

— 2016 IN REVIEW —
More than two dozen vendors will sample, sell, and share their bee- and honey-related products and services. From honey-sweetened beverages to beeswax cosmetics, educational demos to monofloral honeys from the Tri-State Area, there's something for everyone!
KIDS' EDUCATION & Crafts
All day kids participated in fun and educational activities, including face painting by NYC Facepaint, bee-hat making by City Growers, and an interactive booth by Arts In Parts about the honeybees' role in pollination. In addition, there will be honey extraction demos, the Honey-Tasting Contest, and raffle to keep your 'lil critters busy as bees. Oh…did we mention there's a beach too!
As always, we will be hosting a station where you can taste all of the honeys on the boardwalk and vote for your favorite!
